At a glance
This commercial interior in Toronto covers approximately 800 square feet. It took 3 months from start to finish, with a project budget of about $40,000. Main materials: Wall treatments, specialty studio equipment.
The brief
The client wanted a versatile studio with as many booths as the room could hold, but without the clinical look of a typical tattoo shop. Artists and clients both needed to feel comfortable.
What we did
We planned the layout to fit the maximum number of stations with proper spacing and workflow, then brought in residential touches, warm lighting and soft lounge areas to take the edge off a commercial space.
Highlights
- A layout that maximizes booths without crowding
- Custom workstations with storage and adjustable lighting
- Residential-style lounge areas for clients
- Warm lighting throughout
The result
A studio that works hard as a business and feels like a creative home.
