Your renovation, simplified.
Three steps, a fixed design fee and one designer who stays with the project from the first consultation to the final walkthrough.
How it works
Design consultation
A paid one-on-one conversation ($250 plus HST) about your vision, your space, your budget and how you actually live in your home. If you hire us, the full amount is credited to your first invoice. If you don't, there is no pressure to continue. If we're a fit, you get a fixed design fee in writing.
Design and planning
You receive full plans, curated material selections and a clear project timeline. Every decision is shown visually before anything is ordered. The design phase takes 4 to 8 weeks, depending on the project.
Execution and handover
We guide every step, from contractor coordination to the final finishing touches, so the result is what you pictured, and often better.
Fees and payment
You see the full design fee in writing before you commit.
- The first step is a design consultation: $250 plus HST. If you hire us, the full amount is credited to your first invoice.
- After that, design work is a fixed fee, not hourly, based on the size and complexity of the project.
- As a general guide, Toronto design fees run about $5,000 to $15,000 for a single kitchen and $15,000 to $40,000 for a whole two-storey home. Every project has different and very specific requirements and priorities that are rarely the same from one project to the next, so we quote a fixed design fee in writing after your design consultation.
- 50% of the design fee is due when the contract is signed.
- The balance is split by project milestone or by month.
- Renovation costs, such as contractors, materials and cabinetry, are separate and quoted by the suppliers and tradespeople involved.

Design for a whole two-storey home typically runs from about $15,000 to $40,000. Firms that also manage construction often charge 10 to 25 percent of the construction budget instead. What happens in the design consultation?
We talk through your space, what isn't working, your goals, your budget and your timeline. It gives both of us what we need to decide whether we're a good fit, and gives us what we need to quote a fixed design fee. The consultation is a paid session and stands on its own.
Do I have to hire you after the consultation?
No. There's no obligation to continue. If you do hire us, the $250 consultation fee (plus HST) is credited in full to your first invoice.
How do payments work?
We take 50% of the design fee when the contract is signed. The balance is split by project milestone or by month, depending on the project.
