At a glance
This guest bathroom in an Ontario lake house covers approximately 80 square feet. It took 9 months from start to finish, with a project budget of about $35,000. Main materials: Porcelain tile, quartz countertops, custom millwork.
The brief
In a newly built Ontario lake house, the clients wanted the guest bathroom to feel like part of the landscape visible from the property: modern, calm and connected to the forest and water.
What we did
We translated the view into materials. Green wall tile echoes the tree canopy, and dark grey floor tile takes its cue from the rock along the shoreline. Custom millwork keeps the room practical for guests.
Highlights
- Earthy green wall tile that echoes the forest canopy
- Dark grey floor tile inspired by the shoreline rock
- Custom millwork with a double-sink vanity and two matching side towers
- A calm, modern room for guests to unwind in
The result
A bathroom that feels at home in its setting, with custom storage that suits a house full of visitors.
